2011 Cadillac DTS

2011 Cadillac DTS Reviews and Price

The 2011 Cadillac DTS is challenged by its class competitors including the Acura RL, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the Infiniti M35 and the BMW 528 to name a few. Priced between $46,280 and $59,475, the DTS remains as Cadillac's trademark vehicle for transporting all types of Americans in their everyday travels - and even providing transit in bulletproof style for presidents, congressmen and other celebrities. Large, luxurious and powerful, the DTS is difficult to outshine.

More than adequate leg, shoulder and headroom are presented to purchasers of the Cadillac DTS for 2011. Bursting power is also presented from either of the two engines available. The base engine is a 4.6L V8 that produces 275 horses at 6000 RPM and 295 lb-ft of torque at 4400 RPM. If that doesn't do it for you, step up to the 4.6L 300 horsepower 288 lb-ft option. Either way, you will also be presented with an automatic 4-speed electronic transmission. In the best case scenario, the powertrain that you select will deliver a maximum of 23 MPG on the highways. Of course, people purchase the DTS for primary reasons other than optimal fuel efficiency.

The 2011 DTS by Cadillac is sought after because of its spacious, strong abilities that are very well hidden with its conservative appeal. It's quiet and smooth - cushy in fact. All seats are of optimal quality and provide firm, lasting comfort. Some reviewers have commented that the leather is rather slippery though. A high-positioned instrumentation panel is centrally controlled by a touch-screen video display. Genuine wood veneer trim complements the entire cabin space very elegantly. Overall, the DTS grants you more than pleasing internal ambience.

Cadillac cares about your safety, and the 2011 DTS is loaded with standard features for you and your family's protection. The StabiliTrak electronic system for stability control, brake assist, Magnetic Ride Control, six air bags, ABS/driveline electronic traction control, the THEFTLOCK deterrent system and tire pressure monitoring are all standard features on all trims. Of course, loads more are available optionally.

Ultimately-smooth ride quality, pin-dropping quietness, stylish design standards and that one-and-only Cadillac flare all come together very tightly in the 2011 Cadillac DTS. At a price point very similar to its major competitors, it remains a frontrunner in the luxury full-sized sedan market. Prospective purchasers will do themselves a disservice by not test driving one very soon
